My name is Joy Hirsch and my husband Ian and I started The Rowans in 1990.
I have a nursing background and wanted to start a new adventure in Cornwall, providing good quality care for the elderly.
My daughter Jemma grew up in the care home, and decided that she wanted to follow in my footsteps and become a nurse . Following her graduation, Jemma and long term member of staff Sharon decided to expand and offer services to people in their own homes, to help them live independently as possible. The Rowans Domiciliary Care started in 2008, and we have been providing both good quality care in the Care Home and community ever since.
